City Fitness Job Review

Project Gallery:

Many of us here are fans of this chain in the first place, and because we are very active in the sports community, we were ecstatic when we won the award, for installing brand-new air-conditioning systems at the City Fitness location, in South Philadelphia on Passyunk St.

This job consisted of 9-13 carrier rooftop units that would be installed on the existing building. With some of them providing heating and cooling for the second floor and some of them providing heating and cooling for the first floor. We were also responsible for installing all of the ventilation systems in the building, including a massive dryer vent exhaust for commercial dryers.

The most challenging part was to align all of the duct work that was going from the second floor to the first floor to make sure that there is small disturbance to the building.

To achieve this, the gc project manager and our project manager, worked in constant communication and coming up with ideas. What is the better way to install chases for massive duct work that was going to feed the first floor? How can we provide efficiency while keeping the aesthetic vibe of the gym?

All of the first floor consisted of a spiral ductwork. It was beautifully installed by our commercial team. On this job the only team we had was the Dyfort brothers. At this time, it was Edward and Aaron.

They were able to complete the project on time and again, and within the budget. And also, with the help of Michael Gorsky. He assisted in installation of the carrier rooftop systems.

In the end, the owner was very satisfied with our work and wanted to work with us on the next project that city fitness will be having in the Philadelphia region.
